10 Items For Your Ultimate EDC First Aid Kit

This EDC First Aid Kit constitutes a pillar for your safety in case of injury, especially during hard times when hospitals may not be there for you.

Here is a simple EDC first aid kit list to make. It can be identical between your bug out bag, travel bag, and EDC bag.

1. A first aid bag

First, you need a medium size bag suited for your tools.

2. Tourniquet

A CAT tourniquet is irreplacable to stop bleeds. Get one of those and learn how to use it.

3. Medicines

Have a set of Benadryl, Ibuprofen, Naproxen and antidiarrheal. Add any prescription medicine you are taking too.

4. Gloves

Keep 4 pairs of nitrile gloves. This will keep you safe for any infection when treating someone elses wounds.

5. Bacitracin Ointment

The bacitracin will help you deal with small cuts and prevent infections by keeping the wounded area protected.

6. Super Glue

Using super glue to keep things together is common sense. But did you know that the soldiers in the Vietnam war were often patching their wounds using super glue?

This was actually done by the medics in order to stop the bleeding while the wounded was carried away.

7. Quick clot

Quick clots will help you stop the bleeding in case your tourniquets pressure is not enough to stop it, like for a torso or head injury. You can use it in deep wounds too.

8. Band-Aids

Small and big band-aids to treat smaller wounds. Stock 4 to 5 of them in your bag.

9. Gauze

Use gauzes to treat medium cuts that needs a little pressure. Stock 3 to 5 2×2 gauze pads.

10. Steri-strips

Steri-strips can temporarily replace stitches on a deep wound. Clean the wounded area, apply pressure to stop the bleeding, then close it with stern-strips then wrap with clean clothing while you are waiting for the ER. Keep 4 of them in your kit.

In addition to this list, you can add a first aid manual to have guidance and instructions on what to do during each situation.
